Gray tank monitor

We bought a 2012 Vista 32k 3 weeks ago. First week out camping, the gray tank monitor did not come off the empty reading. We dumped when gray water started coming up in the shower. I tried to access the monitors on the tank, but can't get to them. I did the geo method on our trip home and hopefully that will correct the problem. Any other suggestions to help correct this issue? If it doesn't change, I'll just monitor the black and when that gets to 2/3 or so, we will dump.

No expert here but my first thought is that there may be a corroded/loose/broken wire(s) somewhere. I know you said accessing the tank was tough but i'd say that's a good place to start. One or more of the wire connections on the side of the tank could be causing the problem. If nothing found there, then behind the test panel and anywhere you can follow, the wiring in-between.

As far as using the black water as an indication, not sure that is a good way to go. Our tanks are the same size on our rig but i can say from many years of experience, the gray always fills much more quickly.

Tank monitors are notoriously non functional. We fill the gray two or three times as fast as the black. Seaview brand which reads from out side the tank do work.
