Handicap Motorhomes

Looking for a handicap motor home with wheelchair lift. Does any maker besides Newmar offer such a coach? The Canyon Star has lift, roll in shower, handicap toilet and a 30 inch path down the center of the coach.

These coaches are rare however, especially pre-owned. We are not wanting to quit RVing, but circumstances are such that it may happen in spite of what our wishes are.

I have seen pictures of a Tiffin coach modified with a lift, wide access inside, roll up vanity, etc. Might give Tiffin a call to see who did the modification.

I saw a lift that you stand on and works on a normal doorstep entry. Looked simple except for the fact you at least need to be able to stand

Foretravel makes one....see link below. Or on the Foretravel website, look at available coaches, then sold coaches.

Saw a nice 3911 for 88 (2014) on rvtrader. Looked like a great deal. I would snap it up in a heartbeat except we like the one we have.

Handicap Motorhomes

I downloaded a Winnebago link that had options for this including roof rails for “carrying” occupants around inside if preferred and chair access shower. https://winnebagoind.com/products/sp...ipped/overview

We have the Newmar 3911.
Love it!
We almost gave up, because they were so hard to find.
Finally we did find one, but now do to the patients emotional state we will end up having to sell (She is no longer able to leave "the home".
Maybe one day we can get back into it..."after"

Access Unlimited company

If your need is entry/egress, we would recommend you look at a company named Access Unlimited.
As the name implies...
We used two of their lifts for our Fleetwood Bounder and a Chrysler Town and Country van.
They are a great company with great support staff and policy.
I would certainly give them a try, they will work with you to get your patient into the coach, car, boat, bus or what have you.
Lots of great videos on their YouTube channel.
Good luck!
