Hanging a clock on the wall

I know some of you have hung a battery operated clock on a wall. Most of these clocks I've seen are meant to be hung with one hook or nail. How are you securing the clock to the wall so it doesn't fall off during travel?

Ours is hanging on a screw, turned in far enough that the clock fits snug on the wall. Has not moved since we hung it on the wall.

Hang it on a screw then use hook & loop fastener to attach the back of the clock mechanism and wall. If you have to change the battery pull it loose and lift it off the screw.

Hadn't thought about doing it that way. I'll give it a try and if it doesn't work I'll get some Command strip hook and loop and add it to the mix.

Thanks for the replies!

1 Command strip with the hook for the hole on the back of the clock to hang from & 1 Command strip hook n loop attached to the battery compartment to hold it firm against the wall. No screw holes in the wall at all.

I like that idea too. Would be nice not to have any holes in the wall.

Full disclosure on our clock. Hole and screw was already there, so we used it and it worked well. We use command strips all the time else where.

Most clocks have a slotted hole to hang them. I use a screw in the wall for the slotted hole, but then near the bottom, I put one or two small pieces of Valcro tape to keep it from bouncing or wiggling.

Just threw out a ticking analog clock so loud the entire RV reverberated it. Hollow walls especially bad.
