Hankook AH11 vs. Toyo M143

The time has come to put new shoes on our 2008 Damon Challenger. I do not want to start a tire war so I will keep it simple with my 2 choices. Hankook AH11 and Toyo M143. 245/70/19.5. I can not find a bad review on either tire. Both tires almost look identical on a spec sheet. I can get the Hankook $500 cheaper than the toyo but that is irrelevant. ...kind of. How many of you run either tire or have experience with one or the other? (Good or bad) TIA!

I went with the Hankooks when face with the same decision last year. I had good luck with them on our SUV so I was familiar with them. They were cheaper than the Toyos and were similar in quality. The tire company that I used sells both brands and said they put them a lot of the Hankooks on RVs. Haven't regretted my decision. I think both are good tires and will do well.

You hear good reports from both owners of Hankook and Toyo. I was a trying to compare the spec's, and at least on the Hankook site I was looking at, the AH11 was not listed in that size(?), 265/70 19.5 was the closet on that specific spec sheet.

So you might want to double check that you can get it in the 245 size.

Hard to lose either way between these two, toss a coin. Or better yet, pocket the $500!

I put the Hankooks AH12 (22.5) on my Diplomat. Probably one of the best riding, handling and wearing RV tire I've bought.

Thank you for the help so far! It looks like I may just go with the hankook and save myself $500 since both tires are very close in comparison.

Hankook AH11 vs. Toyo M143

Both are good. Go with the cheaper choice. This will be my 3rd year on Hankook AH11 245/70/19.5. Very happy with them.

Hankook or Toyo will like BT my next tire. Whichever is the better deal at the time. Same price Toyo, $500 less then Hankook.
