Hankook Tires

I'm going to be putting two Hankook 275/70/22.5 AH12 tires on the front of my coach. Any opinions out there as to how well they do on the steering axle? I have 4 on the rear and are doing fine.

Hankooks are good tires. The AH12 is for regional haul which may mean a stiffer sidewall( more plys in the sidewall) which will give a firmer ride.

I have Hankook's all around. They make a big difference in tracking over the Goodyears I had. Mine are the AH11s on the lighter Ford chassis than your CC. I am very happy with them.

hanko.....That was a really helpful post!

I got tired of the GoodYears separating on my coach. I replaced the fronts a few months ago with the AH12's. One of the best tires I've had. I can afford to buy any tire I want, but I'm tired of giving my money to companies, just because of their name, who continue to build junk and won't repsond to issues......yes, that would be GoodYear and Michellin.

The tires you buy for your motorhome come from China, Google search hankook and get the whole story Sir. They are building factories in Indonisia as well as China and South africa. Im doing my best to support american companies.

I have Hankook tires on our DP. They have been great, although the AH12 is a firmer ride for sure. No problems whatsoever. Hankook is a Korean company that manufactures in several countries....no different than Michelin and Goodyear which also are produced in several countries including China. In fact, many of the US bound tires are produced in China. I guess if you prefer to see an American overpaid executive profit from manufacturing overseas then you should focus on buying American tires. Lets not pretend that this is helping American workers in anyway one way or another.

Michelin is actually a French company. I bought their x-ice snow tires a few weeks ago (expensive) and they are made in Indonesia. They also manufacture BF Goodrich and Uniroyal after acquiring these 2 US companies.

I suggest that Michelin has no US loyalty although they still have plants here.

Toyota, a Japanese company has made Investments in the US in recent years while others have scaled back.

Hankook does appear to make a decent tire.

Just bought 6 AH12 275/70/22.5 last Friday.

Date Code 32nd week of 2012

Made in S. Korea

Nice smooth and quiet ride with good handling in the first 50 miles.

Not much steering feedback...that combined with the absence of tire noise makes you feel like you are floating down the Interstate.

Very favorable pricing compared to GY and Michelin.

HISTORY | Toyo Tires

Toyo Tires and Toyota Motor Corporation are two separate companies. They have no business relationship other than Toyota uses some Toyo tires on their products.

Sorry - meant Toyo. Typo. My point still applies regardless.
