Great job Phil. Really changes the overall look of the interior for the better. Very nice!

We used a 3/8" laminated flooring that we ordered from True Value Hardware here in town.

My slide does not have rollers that roll across the floor when retracting and extending. It floats just above the floor when moving. I tried to keep it as close as possible when fully open by not adding 1/4" plywood as Ernie suggested. Well after all is done and I watch the slide move in and out, riding as close as it does, I am afraid it will come in contact with it and scratch it

I used a standard type of threshold from linoleum to carpet. This put quite of a raise to the flooring and I was worried that the slider would hit it. After 4-5 deploys, the slider only rubs at one spot. Now I'm thinking I could of used 1/2" flooring (firmer feel walking on it?). I would have needed to be a little more creative with the finished edging but still think I could get away with it..

FR Techs tell me it maybe possible to adjust jackscrews to increase clearance but I'm overly concerned with the seals on the slider. So that's out.

Nice...no, great job! If you would care to explain, what was it about tile that you hated?

Before we do anything, I'd like to hear from those that have been there.

The tile that we had was ceramic. It was cold to walk on, and last year the refrigerator door fell off(loose screw) and cracked 2 of them. We also had carpet around the front that needed replacing.
I wish now I have installed heating strips down the middle. But we don't usually travel in colder weather.

I agree about adjusting to increase clearance. Probably well to leave it as is. Mine rubbed very slightly. I place a strip of 1/8" plastic that I had left on the floor for it to rub on if needed. When slide is extended, I place plastic in cabinet. Will do that until I figure out something permanent.

Very nice! Almost as nice as your C2 Vette. I'm the past owner of a '73, '88 and a '99. Sold my last one a few years ago to help put my son thru Clemson. The local Corvette Club has a Vette only show, "Vettes Doing Charleston", in the spring every year. Check their website Coastal Carolina Corvette Club . Lots of pics from previous shows of some very nice cars. Love to see you here!
