I've got a new 2011 Fleetwood Bounder Classic 36R and there is a harmonic noise that comes from the engine compartment between the speed of 40 and 50. The noise is there both during acceleration and deceleration. The dealer thought it was the grill tubes so they caulked them, but the noise still remains.

This is one of those annoying noises that goes deep in your ears.

Has anyone had this issue?

Thanks

We had the same noise. FW had a dealer remove the grill and put pool sand in the tubes and then siliconed the plastic end caps back on. Took care of it.

We had the same exact problem on a 2012 Bounder. They were able to replicate the sound took the grill out and the sound was gone. They took dowel rods and silicone the ends and the sound went away. My service rep even mentioned that sense my Bounder was in that he always looks at other ones when they come in for service and most of them have the ends of the grill tubes filled in as well.

I'm certain that it's the grill also so this weekend I'm going to remove it and drive it for a while just to see.

Fleetwood, while they are good with their customer service, told me to take it to the dealer. Yeah! 130 miles round trip!!!
