You forgot to mention one small detail, you have only been full timing for 7 months now. You need more to get some more wiskers, but you are on the right track with the Geo method.
Anyone with less than 5 years is considered in training or extended vacation mode.

We've been full timing for 4 years in our 34foot MH. the sensors never read correctly no matter what we do. I can get it to read empty, then later that night it reads a third full. I use the popular "flashlight in the terlet" method. If I forget to do that, the "Splash/Burp/Geyser Indicater" will be enacted, which means immediate dumping is required!

If you absolutely, positively, definitely have to have tank sensors that tell the truth, you can have new sensor screws installed. Then sooner or later you might very well end up with the same problem. I've just learned to live with it and use precaution, and a flashlight. Of course that usually works best with a straight drop.
