Wow! Glad you're OK, but wonder about the RV. Have you tried to run the slide in and out?
And out of curiosity, where were you parked when this happened?

I seriously doubt that will happen. Although insurance is required everywhere in the US the penalty for failure to comply is a swift and slight slap on the wrist.

This probably means your insurance needs to cover this...hopefully, you have that coverage on your insurance (uninsured motorist or something like that)

Do you have uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage?

Was this in an RV park? Hopefully you were not parked on the street or in a Walmart with the slide out.
As at least one other person said check to make sure if you have uninsured motorist on your insurance policy. Granddaughter was hit by an uninsured motorist and her insurance company paid for everything.

Glad to hear everybody is OK...no injuries!!!
Stuff can be repaired/replaced....just be proactive about it.
You have called your insurance company already..correct?
Copy of police report, (police file number etc), the drivers info, his vehicle license number, any witnesses (anybody actually SEE it happen)
Document everything...conversations (with whom/time/date/what was stated), PICTURES....LOTS of them (wide view, up close----video)'
Best of luck!
And again..no injuries ---blessing!

Insurance is not required everywhere. New Hampshire is one example.

NH absolutely requires "drivers to show that they are able to provide sufficient funds in the case of an at-fault accident (i.e., proof of financial responsibility) and if not able to then insurance IS required.

Thanks for the replies. Yes we are in a Casino campground park. I even put cones out. Police said He will be cited, and a report is filed. Tow truck driver said the Mini Van is a total loss, score one forTiffin! The slide trim is bent and it will not let the slide come all the way in.

Yes, but the requirement to demonstrate the ability to pay is triggered by the at-fault accident. The driver's license of the uninsured at-fault driver is suspended after they fail to pay, and they may then be required to show proof of insurance prior to reinstatement of their driving privileges. This isn't much help to the victim.
