One observation, and not to worry you un-necessarily, the rust and dirt in the primary filter came from inside your fuel tank. Not trying to be right here so please don't think that . May want to think about draining, removing and cleaning the fuel tank so that it doesn't plug the filter again. JMHO

For sure take an extra primary filter or two with you in case it does get plugged.

Best of luck.
Thanks...the tank was drained and cleaned last week.

Sounds like the Racor filter Freightliner installed on Cummins ISB2 engines. Three out of four shops told me it didn't exist. FL issued a flyer with location. Tucked into the passenger side rail directly under the engine( rear engine). In 9 years with our DP and 8 shops, only two knew about it. One FL Oasis shop, said it didn't cut after I told them exactly where it was and showed the flyer. Two local shops in SoCal got it right.

Wow...what a difference a new primary filter makes. We picked-up the MH on Friday night and DH said that he immediately noticed a difference in power. The service manager said that not only should we notice a power increase but it could also could increase our gas mileage average. Time will tell.... We are going out this weekend.. hopefully it will be an uneventful trip.

Glad to hear you're back on the road again. Best of luck on your maiden voyage with the new filter.

A plugged filter, will effect everything , transmission shifting, cruise operation. Here's hoping that with a few enjoyable trips , you can chalk the past weeks up to experience , and get out and finally relax while you're out RVing.

Note. I'll be tracking this post and your miss-adventures, and refer anyone who complains about, a one time breakdown to it.
If you and your husband made it through this and are still RVers. You're an inspiration to us all.
