Heard of a country coach selling for 1.3m when new?

maybe i am just too uninformed or unknowledgeable or retarded, or combination of three... not sure if this is true but the seller claims that this CC's MSRP was $1.36m when new in 2008: Used 2008 Country Coach Rhapsody Opus 900 for Sale | RVRegistry.com

Don't know what the original cost is but that is one fantastic looking coach. Country Coach is not made any more to my knowledge but they were some of the better built coaches according to most things I have heard.

That is conceivable I would say. I have a client who has a Marathon that he paid $1.8 million for in 2008. I could see coaches in that range and that vintage pretty easily.

As a side note, he just sold his Marathon for $800,000. Slight bit of depreciation on that one.

That sounds right.

That was a top end model with every silver bell and gold wistle

Some interior are too modern and ugly though

There were less than 10 of those built. I know someone that owns one. The air door can be a problem (several shows they couldn't get the door on the show coach opened ~ for days), and there isn't a lot of closet space, but it was truely built to be a "halo" coach for CC...it just wasn't strong enough to keep them out of bankrupcy.

They were still very cutting edge, trying to complete in the "Newell" end of the pond.

The seller's claims are true. She is a sister coach to ours. They were a coach designed to compete with their Prevost conversions but on a chassis designed and built by Country Coach. Everything in them was top notch and seemed to use the same systems that went into their conversions. They are fantastic coaches, but not for the faint of heart because they are complex coaches and only a few were produced. Because of the limited production, there aren't many that know about them or can understand and work on them. They had some rather unique features, such as the air door that Mark mentioned above to the steering tag axle. A Crestron system controls much of the coach.

To my knowledge, there were only 4 produced prior to CC going under and there was a rolling shell for sale on eBay a while back.

This is the coach in question
Luxury Motorcoach Rental | 45' Rhapsody by Country Coach - YouTube

I've exchanged emails with the owner and he's got it dialed in very well and is a great coach. He's selling it because they just don't have enough time to use it.

Below is a video to the 3rd unit produced, that I heard is up at CC being serviced at the moment.

The 4th unit is used extensively and it's home base is out in SoCal.

What was old...is new again! Looks like that same coach is for sale...with the same mileage it had a number of years ago. Could it really be that much of a garage queen? I wonder what kind of shape it's in...

Good find. I know he was trying to sell her a couple years ago. Right now our unit is at BuddyGregg down in Knoxville for some service.

Country Coach has built some of the nicest coaches I've ever seen. I saw a Country Coach Lexa model (built back in 2003-2004) last year in Phoenix and it was beautiful. They were way ahead of their time.
The Rhapsody is absolutley beautiful! The Rhapsody has a steering tag axle and has a 36' turning radius!
