Heart Freedom Model 15 Inverter/charger

I have a Heart Interface Model 15 Inverter/charger in my 2002 Winnebago Ultimate and can't figure our from literature if the charger only charges coach batteries or if it also charges chassis batteries on shore power. Recently, I installed a new set of chassis batteries and shortly thereafter started having problems maintaining the charge on the chassis batteries. I haven't measured the draw on the batteries but feel it is excessive and started pulling fuses and believe I have isolated most of the draw and need to troubleshoot that circuit to see why it is pulling so much current. In the meantime still trying to figure how how the charger is wired up. Thanks

itcdljones...I think in your rv the inverter only charges the house batteries. To be sure go to the winnie web sit and look up the on line wireing diagram for your mh. I know on my 2001 this is the way it works so I added a trik-l-start to rv and this keeps the starting batts fully charged.

not sure about winne but on cc it charges coach as well as chassis battery. chassis battery terminals are directly connected to coach batteries with a control circuit preventing back flow. i am using solar panels and i connect solar controller output to coach batteries only, now both coach and chassis batteries are always full.

I have installed Trick-L-Start in my last two MHs. It maintains the charge on the chassis batteries.

Here is a IRV2 forum link discussing installation in a Winnebago. Trick-L-Start-installation

Thanks folks. I have the wiring diagrams and confirmed only the coach batteries are being charged, then ordered the Trick-L- Start.
