Help!!

Hi guys!
OK have had my rv for a little while, il start by giving rig info, then tell you my issue..
2003 cheetah safari
Diesel
We had storms in Texas yesterday, first had window open, water hit a fan and popped the gfci, after that, I unplugged fan, shut window, reset gfci... Everything was fine, 2 hours later I. Laying in bed reading, and poof, lost all outlets and microwave... fridge, AC, water heater slides and overhead lights still work, but anything that uses an outlet is not. Checked all fuses breakers etc, everything is normal, when I use inverter and switch to battery, they work. But now batteries dead, and when not inverted no outlet power... Can anyone please tell me what's going on... Only have 2 gfci outlets with resets, did that reset test several times, still no luck. Help!

Check the breakers on the inverter. There should be two of them, and one may be tripped.

I have no idea how to do that... It's just a flat panel. It gives info on tanks etc. But it's always wrong. And it seems to change to invert power OK.. How do I check breakers on that, and would it still function, its also where I put slides in and out, everything works on it except info on tank sensors, which never correct anyway,

You're on shore power? Check the breaker on the pedestal.

check this...

Sorry to hear of your issue, but I think things like this has happened to most of us at some point. Water & Electrical. I had a bay door not shut completely tight right behind wheel. Drove in solid rain from Texas to Nebraska and it got my inverter wet. Thus I had same issues.

After a long time the next day of trouble shooting issues I found a very small in-line safety switch, pop up relay, what every you call it, in the battery compartment for the house batteries. It had flipped up, it was a very small looking rectangular looking switch that once I flipped it back down and locked in place, everything worked and has worked just fine since.

I had removed the inverter, took off housing, made sure anything that was wet was dried, and air dried in front of a fan for 12 hours, including the bay and put everything back together before putting it back into operation.

Point here is make sure anything wet is dried up. Use air what every but you can not have wet components even if you find source being triggered.

Your hunt for GFI's, in line switch's, (check that battery compartment), go to the shore power pole, unplug your coach, reset the post switchs and GFI if there is one there also.

Curious, if you are unplugged, and start up the Generator, does your microwave, TV, AC and all work? I would try that also and then go ahead and plug in the shore power again and turn on the switches to see if that worked also. Let us know what you find. You will find it... Good Luck James

I did all that, they work fine, that's how fridge and AC are running. Plus have extension cord plugged in for phone charging etc.

I assume you were plugged into an electric pedestal.

Does the pedestal have power or did a breaker trip on the pedestal?

No issues with pedestal. Tested it. It's fine. Like I said, fridge and AC are working as well as extension cord

Your inverter should be located in one of the basement storage bays, typically near the battery compartment. The flat panel is just gives you information on whether it is inverting, charging batteries, etc. The inverter will be a box shaped device with a bunch of wires going to it. The two breakers look like switches on the box.

You gots a short. Disconnect fan and replace the GFCI, which may be bad. Only thing weird is the inverter working and the battery charger not. No explanation for that. Sounds like more than one problem, maybe even bad breakers.
