help, bcc problems

i have a 2005 discovery, chassis battery sw works at entrance door, cuts chassis battery on and off, BUT when you turn on the ignition sw on and then back off, the sw at entrance will not cut chassis battery off just stays on, i have to disconnect house and chassis battery to get the bcc board to work again. any clues? ( replaced sw at entrance, thinking it was the sw)

Showing my age, all I ever knew bcc (in lower case) to mean was "blind carbon copy." So, no help here.

Sounds like the battery disconnect board or the isolator may be bad. Might try just checking the connections on both to make sure there is no corrosion on either.

I have seen replacement boards fairly cheap on the internet. What model is yours?

bcc is typo BCC is "Battery Control Center" on an RV.

On mine the switch by the door only affects the house battery

Ignition controls the chassis battery. Near as I can tell.

2005 Damon Intruder, Intelletec BCC.

Interesting problem. Not heard of that one before. I do know that the BCC has some electronics in it but most of that is related to voltage sensing and closing the relay that allows your alternator to charge both sets of batteries while driving. And it handles the solar panel. A newer rig like yours, it probably has even more functions.

Have you removed the BCC cover, checked for loose wires, blown fuses, and burnt components on the board?

On Edit: Just saw that you already replaced the PCC board. I'm at a loss. If it was mine, I'd be trying to find a chassis schematic to narrow it down. Maybe a bad chassis solenoid?
