HELP!!! Can I USe Slide Outs???
Stuck in the middle of nowhere and my jacks are disabled. Is it ok if I let out my slide outs and use them for a couple of days without support? I don't need the jacks, but the slide outs are important.

From all I've read, if you're level, and on stable ground, and don't rock the boat all the time, I think you're fine.
But...what does your manual say?

My guess is if you are reasonably level you would have no problem. Me, if the RV is not level I'd not do it.

The manual says "it is recommended to complete the leveling procedure" but that's it. I'm not level. The opposite side of the slide out I need is lower than the slideout side I need. Sorry for slow wifi, just grateful I have it.

As long as you are level enough to feel comfortable, you are fine.

Well, it's now out. I'll find out tomorrow if it was the right decision or not.
Thanks for everyone's help. (Where do I send the bill for bad imformation given if this doesn't work???)

I would worry about the same or more about being level for the sake of your refrigerator than the slides.Just my two bits.

I have always been told that if its level enough for the refrigerator then its level enough for the slides, at least on Winnebago products.
Think about it this way, on a lot of motorhomes, jacks are an option. Some motorhomes with slides don't even have jacks.

For me, the bigger and heavier the slide, the less inclined I'd be to extend it if I was not close to level in either axis. Expecially if I was significantly out of level from front to back.

Due to a bad jack, my coach is sitting next to the house just as it travels down the road - on the tires. It's very close to level so I put the slides out as needed. Your dealers put the slides out all the time without the jacks being down.

Mine doesn't. I have airbags so if it rocks to much I just add air to stiffen it up.
