Could be anything, need more information - type of levelers, chassis, etc. Have you read your owners manuals. Most levelers need the engine running, emergancy brake on, in park. Just my two cents...

Dance Chick,

Glad to hear they work. Would be nice to know what you did to fix the problem. Sharing the problem is good, sharing the fix is better and adds to the forum collective knowledge base. Remember everybody was a newbie once. See you down the road.

Well, we didn't actually fix it...they just started working. Now, they won't go down. Once we figure it out, I'll let everyone know so it might help someone else. Obviously, something is wrong.

I had the same problem with the leveling jacks not going down. What I found out was, the coach battery went dead and I had to have it jump started. After that the jacks would not work. Someone told me to turn off the main battery disconnect and then turn it back on. It worked now I have no problem with my jacks.

Hi Hammer48,
Thanks for the reply. I thought you were on to something as our house batteries had gone bad and we replaced them. We kept thinking the jacks not working must be related somehow since they had worked prior to the battery issue. Well, as our luck runs, your suggestion didn't work for us, so I guess we're going to have to call LazyDays on Monday and get help. Thanks again for trying to help.....maybe it'll help someone else.

It would still be nice to know your coach and chassis manufacturer. Just for future reference you should always include that info when posting questions on the forums. There alot of help available here , so don't hesitate to post again if you have more issues.

For us- tiffin product- Motor has to be running. Slides have to be in to use the jacks. The jacks won't operate up or down if the slides are out. So don't put your slides out before leveling. And put your slides in prior to raising your jacks.

In my case, the control board for my power gear jacks wouldn't turn on. Brake was on, had worked fine a couple of days earlier and then no matter how much you pushed the On/Off button, nada (well almost) I took the cover off the control unit and observed that the actual pushbutton switch was not quite being engage by the touch pad. The solution, a piece of hole punched cardboard on top the push button. Has worked perfectly since then.
