Help locating fresh water tank sensor.

The fresh water tank level on my 2012 Itasca Ellipse 42QD reads empty although I just put a large quantity of water in. The failure occurred after three months of indoor storage having worked fine previous to storage. Need help in locating where the sensor might be.

When I Open the door to my tank it's the black patches with wire going to them. I trust looking at the tank more than gauges.

Just some thoughts that popped into my head:

With no indication that you have any water at all, it sounds like you need to be looking at wires and connectors between the tank and the display board. My guess is a corroded connection somewhere or a rodent has chewed a wire somewhere while the RV was in storage.

On my coach, the tank sending wires all come together into a plug, then go up front to the display. Maybe that plug has come apart.

The plugs and wires on the back of the display board look good. My big problem is that the tank is under the flooring about where the kitchen is located, and I can't find a way to gain access to even see anything but the bottom of the tank from the basement. I probably need to get some advice from the factory on what to tear apart I guess. I was hoping for something simple. I would be happy with just a visual view of the water level from the side.

This is an old post, but having had a similar issue on our Ellipse 42QD, I added an ability to see the actual water tank level by cutting out a narrow vertical slot (3/4 by 14-inch) in the side panel adjacent the water pump and winterization valves within the passenger-side basement compartment. In fact, I also added a 3/4-inch plywood deck with a 4-inch vertical edge board on three sides (left, right, rear) over the top of the water tank, permanently removing the upper half of the side panel. That added additional inner storage space (about 14-inches high and as wide as the water tank) for campground gazebo & camp chairs.
