HELP! - Locked out due to door failure

I just went to unlock my coach's main door lock using the electronic key fob remote and I heard a grinding motor sound instead of the normal solenoid sounding click as the latch unlocks. I didn't think it was a big deal because I could also use the physical key but now I can't get the key to turn to the right at all. I can only get it to turn an 1/8th of a turn to the left which does nothing.

I am completely locked out of my coach and all the windows are locked. I called a couple of locksmiths and they don't want to touch it and are referring me to RV dealers which are all closed here on Monday.

I don't want to break a double pane Seegee window and was thinking I could get in if I removed either the shower skylight or one of the fantastic fan vents from the roof. I'm not completely sure these can be removed from the top. This really sucks. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Coach is a 2006 National Tradewinds 40D

thanks,

Paul

Hold the door tightly against the frame and lock; then unlock it using the key FOB. If this doesn't work than do the same with the key.

If you have the same windows as Fleetwood you can unlock one in about 5 minutes.

Tgdameron - I've tried pushing the door in hard against the frame and turning the key and using the fob. I've also tried pulling on the pull latch a bit and turning the key and using the fob. Every time I use the fob I hear a motor running. The linkage must be jammed or failed.

The key is labeled Tri/Mark which I'm assuming is the lock mechanism too.Click image for larger version

The windows are double pane Se-Gi sliders that latch with a flip latch on the inside of course. I can't see how you could slip something through to flip the latch up.Click image for larger version

I had to do it because of the same lock you have. You will need a drill and bit the size of a big paper clip drill through the frame at a upward angle so the hole will line up with the latch which has to be push up.You need to get as far away from the glass as you can not to hit it the frame being aluminum it drills real easy.Once you have a hole slide that large paper clip in and it will push the latch up.

Thank you Tha_Rooster. I hate to drill my window but I don't see any other choice. What happened to your lock to cause the failure?

HELP! - Locked out due to door failure

The outside handle did nothing, there is a little bar that when you pull the outside lever it opens the door it was bent. I hated to drill a hole also but it's so small you can't see it and if you get locked out again this there. Other choices drill out lock, break a window, remove shower sky light all seemed like bad choices to me.
