Help me identify what this control does?

Okay so quick background. We just purchased our first motorhome last month. It is a slightly used 2008 Damon Astoria with about 7,000 miles on it. We bought it from a large RV consignment company in Houston, Texas.

We were given a short, generic overview of the systems that control the various aspects of the coach. Needless to say, every RV is different so I can't fault the tech for not knowing everything about every model.

I have become very informed over the last month about the different systems just by "fiddling" around and by reading the topics on iRV2.com. Currently working on trying to restore life to 4 house batteries that were nearly bone dry and only have about 4v showing on the voltmeter.

Now my problem is I cant figure out what this control does? It is close to the LCI leveling system, but doesn't seem to do anything. I can't find anything about it in the manuals either. I was hoping someone on here would know.

It looks like it would control the side mirrors, but it doesn't, there is another controller for that. The little arrow facing the front of the coach is yellow. Any help in identifying that would be very appreciated.

My rig has a different mirror position adjustment knob. The rocker switch adjacent to it is for the heater inside the mirrors. And yes there is no light that tells you which position is on or off. I had an idea of what the off position was, but confirmed it why waiting until on morning when the mirror had heavy dew. Turned the switch to the perceived on position and after a few minutes I could see a square donut shape in each mirror. That must be it......da.

Sprdtyf350,

I bet you are right on the money. It does have the small little LCD screen on the dash. I never thought about trying to use this to navigate it. The previous owner managed to label a lot of things, but I swear I find something new every time I look.

Thanks so much for the help guys!

Macantic,

I am looking into getting the machine gun/missle launchers installed. Might have to wait until fuel prices fall a bit.

Getting Machine guns and rocket launchers.. You gonna deliver Pizzas with that Motor home?

(Seriously Dominos or Pizza hut (or both) have mobile trucks that do deliver, by the hundreds to fairs and other major gatherings).

I don't know if you will find it but Tom Smith is the artist/author and Domino Death is the song title.

On our Astoria, key has to be on, it is for the panel below your gages. It sets your trip meter, miles per gallon, generator hours etc. Hope this helps.

I have on on my Berkshire. Controls what you see and also resets the information in the DIC (Driver Information Center)

Everyone that chose Driver Information Center is correct. It does indeed control that. Thanks everyone for your response.
