Help! Replacing dash CRT TV with storage?

My wife and I just purchase our first RV, a 2002 Fleetwood Terra and are very excited! The in dash tv only operates when ignition is off due to regulations, so I rerouted the cables to a better location for a tv in the living area. Now our issue is that we want to remove the CRT TV from the dash and replace it with some sort of storage (drawers or shelves) so that we don't have that wasted weight and space! I am sure several people have done this but the only ideas I have seen have been for over the head mounted systems, so I am asking for ideas/ pics of what others have done! I want to make it look as professional as possible, and I am fairly good at woodworking and etc, so any help with ideas planning would be helpful!
