Help! Slide outs inoperable

Must leave for home today. Slide outs on passenger side won't move. They are HWW hydraulic. Stopped at HWH in Iowa on our way to Indiana with a jack problem. Tech did some diagnostics in the pump bay. Got here to Indiana, when we tried to put the slides out, they would not move until the key was turned on. Previously that was not the case. Now must leave for home today and can't. Any ideas?

Regarding above post. Jacks won't work either. The pump did not operate.

You may have too low voltage for the operation if your HWH slide motors are twelve volt. Your jacks I assume are hydrolic. What year a model coach, that will help us.

OK so your drivers side slide works , passenger side won't and the jacks won't retract.
Are you still on shore power ? If not try plugging back in to the post and re-try.
Key on means the system wants to see chassis battery power. have you tried holding the battery boost ( emergency start, aux battery , different coaches use different names) switch while trying to operate the jacks and slides?

My ideas: Not sure how long you have had rig, and not sure how comfortable you are with all knowledge of all systems. But, since something has changed with the key being on before working to put slides out, please consider looking at your operator's manual and following suggested procedure...some rigs have to have parking brake on, motor off, key in and turned, foot on brake, etc...almost need to hold your left ear at same time...just kidding...don't panic and expect the worse...it is possibly something simple, since it hard to believe you could have a run-down battery and/or loss of hydraulic fluid while parked. Good luck...

Do any of the lights on the jack control pad come on.
HWH system I have has an inline fuse 40 amp near the pump that powered the control box and pad, poor connection there shut the system down erratically.

Whole at HWH tech tech said I had oil in an electrical connector. He cleaned it and put back together. Just now I unplugged one connector at a time, and tried the slide switch. When I got to the one that was oily, I unplugged it and the slide worked as it should. I can leave for home now, but does anyone have any ideas why it did what it did?

Great that you mobile, poor connection can do funny things to anything with electrical and electronic components.
Can you determine the source of the oil?

Regarding source of oil. I think the previous May have had a leak, or loose fitting.

Sorry my fingers can't keep up with my thinking. Should read I think previous owners may have had an oil leak.

Lloyds non-flammable , contact spray cleaner , add a can to your tool box.
