The Cross Country could be described as an entry-level diesel pusher. If the tires have been replaced recently and the suspension is in good working order, the ride should be consistent with other coaches in that category. As for reliability, it will depend on how the RV was maintained over the last seven years. A well maintained coach will generally be pretty reliable. On the other hand, a poorly maintained 7-year old motorhome could be a very costly option. Try to get a sense of how diligent the owner was in terms of maintenance and repairs. No RV, no matter how inexpensive, is a bargain if its been neglected.

I strongly recommend a qualified technician inspect the coach for proper system and safety operation. They can be a bargaining tool as well as assure the condition is worth the price.

Coachman RV
Anything used :
1-Appearance
2-Options
3-Number of prior owners
4-Did it come from or has it lived in snow country (look underneath)
5-Service records
6-Mileage (typically not a problem).
7-Tires, look at side walls and tread, is there weather cracks.
8-Look at roof very carefully for patch work.
9-Was it kept out of the weather when no used.
10- Smoker? (I use to be one and boy can it make a coach smell bad when warn weather is here).
11- Do all of the systems work/
Anyway I typically do not by new RV's because I still work and it sits most of the time. There are some good deals out there, just be careful and look around. You may be surprised at what you find.
