A long story short , I need to get house battery's tested / replaced , 3 huge lifeline gel battery's $700 each !!!
We are currently camped at yuba state park utah south of Salt Lake City heading to park city utah could any body recommend Rv dealer / truck service center

Sorry here your having trouble, but ouch $700.00 each why gel not a AGM.

My mistake , your are correct AGM , cost from lifeline 550 + 50 delivery + local install 50?
Cost from dealer 650 + install ?

He said "Lifeline Gel" Odds are very very good he does not know the difference and he has Lifeline AGM.

I see from his later post this was the case. I see it on the forums all the time.

To the Original Poster: You are having the delaer INSTALL them, How big are these suckers, Group 24,27,29,31,4D,8D.

I do admit I might have a dealer do the "D"s but anything smaller than that I can wrangle just fine (Ok, I can wrangle an 8-D if I have to but I'd rather not).

We are traveling so I don't have a jack or friends to help wrestle and I would have to arrange disposal of dead units .
Also don't have tester to determine if one or all three are toast

And 700 a pop for those.. Not an unreasonable price.

Folks, by comparision, each of those batteries, by itself holds more power than the standard pair of GC-2's. Those are **BIG** Batteries.

Jimmyjnr: If you still need a service center I recommend Charlie's Service. They are north of SLC about 30 miles in Sunset Utah. They have room to stay with hookups.

I've had service done at Freightliner of Utah. Good place. Large, lots of bays, got me in promptly. They're in the SW area of SLC, just off the highway in the West Valley City area.

I am just curious why these are better. I know they are AGM so that is better but the difference between these and a pair of GC2 sold at Sams club is not very much current wise. If you can live with checking your water on a regular basis you can get the sams club battteries about 500.00 a pair cheaper than one of these. Why get these ?

FYI, a LifeLine 8D AGM weighs 162 pounds. I used a transmission jack to move mine.

I recently did the mineral oil trick to my Interstates. The battery maintenance now is A W E S O M E.

I did that in 2004 on my last set of Interstate GC-2's, they lasted 10 years too. My 11 year old battery slide tray is cleaner and more corrosion free than our 2000 DSDP was after two years without the mineral oil.
