I am interested in hearing from anyone who has installed Henderson's MCU's (motion control units/valves) on a tag axle coach. I put them on my previous coach, a 36' DP on a Freightliner XC chassis. The improvement in handling was pretty amazing.

My current coach with tag handles well but I would like a bit less lean in curves and on freeway ramps. However, I don't want to spend the $$$ if there will be little difference on a larger coach with tag axle.

I added the under 30K (or 32K? Lbs) to the front, and over 30 or 32K Lbs to the rear duals. This is with 2004 40' CC Allure, Tags, and two driver side slides. I had front and rear weights, and when talking with Henderson's, the suggested this mix. They said the front end iFS of my era coach seemed to respond better with the light duty MCU.

I also had Road Kings installed on front/drive/tag axles.

These two mod's, made our ride much better. I did before and after test drives out thru an area I know with S curves, some with reverse crowns, so it really used to confuse the coach without the MCU's or Road Kings. Very stable, and much 'faster' at setting as the body weight shifted thru the S curves.

I decided to get the valves and the folks at CC are installing them for me tomorrow. I am looking forward to improvement similar to what I experienced with my previous coach.

Have to admit I had never heard of the Henderson MCU product until recently, but have seen it mentioned in several recent threads. Folks seem to swear by them and they seem to be well worth the money,even on tag axle coaches. Seem to help the waddle encountered when entering uneven roadways as well as twisty roads.

Putting a set on my 36' Winnebago Journey on a Freightliner chassis certainly made me a fan. It was like driving a different coach.

I completed a drive on some fairly twisting roads from Corvallis to Newport, OR after having them installed on my 42' tag axle coach. While the difference was not as dramatic as with the Journey, the coach was more sure-footed in curves with less lean.
