On mine, I turn on the cruise control while in park. Rev up to 1200 rpm and set the cruise. That brings the air up quicker.

Turn on cruise, press SET.

RPM on ours goes to 1,000. Good for pumping air a little faster.

As Jerry said. With cruise control on and in park; press the "Set" button. Your RPMs will come up to about 1200 or so. Good for when your stuck in a traffic jam for a long period.
I don't idle my rig for more that about 10-15 minutes. If I'm stuck traffic, as I was do to an accident this Saturday, I will use hi idle intermittently.

If your referring to another members question , about why his ISL was idling faster than normal, after start up ( automatically) there is a program in the ECM, to increase idle speed after start up, usually first of the day.
My Cat will go to a faster idle in cool weather, to aid warm up.
As I mentioned to the other poster, I don't know what the parameters are for the auto idle up are on an ISL.
Could be a question to ask if you're in a Cummins shop.
Like , gemert, I can set the idle higher to help bring up air pressure faster by using my cruise control, cruise on in neutral, hold resume till idle speed comes up.
