Hi (possible stupid) newbie question

Hi looking at buying our first Class A DP. Wondering if there is a list of garages that do pre purchase inspections by location. I had a look but couldnt see one. So sorry if its a sticky. The DP is running a Cat 275hp and a 6spd world allison. Looking to get it the once over before I hand over a bunch of $..Thanks in advance, and again apologies if this is a sticky

Glad you're aboard. Cliff's right about the stupid question being the one that isn't asked. Location would help those in that area to suggest a qualified/reliable tech. Best of luck in your search. Enjoy your adventures and be safe.

There are no Stupid Questions

There should be a CAT equipment dealer in your area. CAT has been getting into the RV service arena and they can probably help you or provide a suggested location. Avoid Camping World!!

Hi NIJ

You can call RV medics (802) 236-4031 ask for Ray. He is in the Rutland,Vt area, but he'll travel.
He really knows what he's doing around an RV. I had him perform a repair on my RV this past summer and he impressed me.
Best of luck and Happpy Trails!!!!

Probably a wise decision. Tires, all fluids, possibly brakes, full electric, hydraulic and air inspection, possible roof and window gasket repairs....all to be done after purchase.

I'd budget $15,000, so selling price would have to be $20,000 less than low retail from NADA. How close was the seller to that number, just curious?

Call the folks at Blue Moon RV in Carrollton, TX at 972-323-5050. They have provided us with excellent service and know what they are doing. Good luck.

Glad you're aboard. Congrats on the new to you rig. Type 7.4L in the google window on the tool bar above, leave it set to IRV2, I'm sure you'll find an afternoon's reading there. Enjoy your adventures and be safe.

I can not help you with a list, but I can say this.

When it comes to stupid questions, that is about as far from Stupid as it gets.... If more Buyers of many things, not just RV's but Cars, and Trucks and Vans, asked that question first.

There would be far fewer problems with "NEW" ______s.

So you ask a very SMART question.. Congrats.
