Talking about insurance ... To start we had MI insurance on the car but had to switch to CA. Found out that it was about $200 cheaper going CA. So we checked on just changing over the bike and the RV. The RV would be about $500 cheaper in CA instead of MI. The bike on the other hand would be about $400 more in CA than MI ..... so in effect for us insurance would still be about the same amount ....

Never hurts to call and ask questions, you may be surprised on how much more or less it will cost.

I think you are probably pretty close. Just going from memory. I paid around 650.00 for the blue ox adapter plate mounted to my car. I made sure to have an authorized blue ox dealer install it. If something happens and it brakes free and hits something else I want to have professional authorized installer as part of my defense. Blue ox 10,000 pound tow bar around 800.00. My brake system is 1200.00 plus installation. I did that myself because all it involved was drilling a hole for the break away switch wiring. Depending on which braking system you use you could get to 3000 with out any problem.

In Arkansas a hidden cost is taxes on your extended warranty. When you purchase a vehicle if it has an extended warranty plan that is taxed at the same rate as your vehicle.

A 2014 DSDP 40 footer for 250K? Don't think so. Maybe a Ventana. In any case, most of the costs you're inquiring about depend upon the state you register the mh in. In our case, the plates were over 1800, taxes were over 22K, insurance about 1200, ERS is 120, and the extended warranty would have been about 4800 for 7 years (685/yr).

Hope this helps
