Hidden Hitch failure

We have a '05 holiday rambler admiral. This past Sunday while towing a car trailer the hitch tube broke clean off. Luckily got off to shoulder safely , had my son following with two way radio.
After inspecting the tube it showed a rusted edge and the new break which was shiny.
Please advise if a Reese replacement would be a better idea because of the box steel design.
I have a W22 workhorse chassis.
Very scary, any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,

I believe Reese, Hidden Hitch, and Draw Tite are all made by the same company and just branded with different names. And they are a good hitch. After researching hitches for my car I bought a Curt hitch and was impressed with the hitch when I got it.
