If it gets to the point that it really bothers you, probably years from now, consider getting an external fuel pump from NAPA and install it close to the tank using the power wires already there (so it's powered by the fuel shutoff safety switch, if you have one).
Just a thought. And only mentioned because I personally can't stand high pitched singing noises from fuel pumps. Weirds me out after years of working with motors/pumps that don't sing. Unless they're poorly made.

Yeah, it's no big deal. I certainly don't hear it while driving. I just didn't want the thing quitting while I was half way to SC! Hopefully this new one, even though it whines, will do just fine.
