new vs old

IMHO I would go older higher end. I've been MHing on and off all my life and I currently own a 26 year old Winnebago class c. While Winnebago may not be considered high end, it is definitely a well built MH. We were in a campground where a gentleman invited us into his brand new Thor class C. The cabinets were coming apart and the fridge had already come dislodged from its mounts among other things I noticed. Winnebago still has solid wood cabinets and years of manufacturing and product support. I don't know what you're considering as "older", but be aware that if you go to the show in Hershey in September you could get a great deal on a new MH. 40% off list or better. I wouldn't buy a 2 or 3 year old when I could get a brand new one at the show for the same money. Good luck and Happy RVing

I am primarily looking at Winnebago as they have a dealer 45 minutes away and Newmar which is only 10 minutes.

The longer I leave it before upgrading the bigger my budget will be, but on the flip side the less I get selling or trading my own one.

I got a chance to drive my 2005 Damon on a new tarmac a few days ago and it rode very smoothly, I surprised how well.

That's interesting what you say about show pricing.
