Holiday Rambler Ambassador

Hi; we just joined iRV2 and look forward to the wealth of information out there.
WE just purchased a 2015 Holiday Rambler Ambassador 38DB after years of having a fiver. Wondering if others have purchased a similar model and if you experienced any major issues.
Also one question we have is on the servicing of the generator at the front of motorhome; the generator cannot be pulled out similar to other MH so wondering how it is serviced-the manual does seem to indicate and the sales folks where we purchased it did not seem to know

Pray you don't need work on that genset. cause it probably has to be physically removed. That could require removing the front cap altogether, but some can be removed from underneath.

Oil drain, oil filter, and air filter should be accessible from underneath, with the coach up on jacks or over an oil change pit. Don't know how you would add new coolant or oil, though. Most gensets get new fluids from the top.

Suggest calling Monaco/HR (Rev Group) and ask if they can suggest a method.

We bought a 2015 HR Ambassador 38DBT last September. Upon getting it home we noticed the wiring harness on the main slide had damaged wires and the support for it was broken. 1st trip back to dealer. On our first weekend trip....what a nightmare. Jacks didn't work, no black water flush, no TV's, water leak and a list of about 20 items not working properly. 2nd trip to dealer...they had the coach for about a month. On our second time out....not to bad, only a few things wrong. Still had problems with the jacks. And then our third trip. We were going for 2 weeks but cut it short after 9 days due to problems. The jacks were not working again, AC trouble, trouble with all 3 slides, exhaust smell inside coach, along with a list of other problems. But the worst.....the outer shell of the motorhome was cracked at both lower corners at the bedroom slide. The front crack was about 8 inches long and the rear crack about 2 inches and growing. The powder room wall had some movement in it with the backsplash and back corner moving. The kitchen slide had cut the floor and the main slide was leaving roller marks on the floor. Some bad structural issues. 3rd trip to dealer. After this, my wife wrote to HR with our compliants. We heard back from them and they are doing something about it. The dealer had the coach 2 weeks and had only done the easy fixes but had promised it back by then. What a joke. After that, HR picked up the coach and took it to there Coburg, Ore. service center for repairs. So far the coach has been in the shop since Aug 22. We hope to get it back by Thanksgiving. HR is keeping us informed on the progress and it looks pretty positive. So far the unit has been in the shop more than we have used it. We hope your experiences will be better than ours. But if you start having major issues..PM us so we can direct you to the proper people at HR. It appears HR takes their customer satisfaction pretty seriously. We hope this will be the end of the problems with this coach.

Thanks for the feedback. Ours will be going to Indiana, a 14 hour trip for a small crack (2inches). Dealer is not helpful at all. Plus I had to fix issues myself. Will have Jacks checked as well.
Closest dealer to us is over 500 km from northern Ontario. Just hope that HR comes through.

Sorry the dealer was of little help, but that doesn't surprise me. Most just want the sale. Where is the 2" crack located? And is it growing in length?
