2007 Holiday Rambler Owner Reply
Don't know how new you're interested in but I have a 40DFT with a 330hp Cummins. I would be glad to share information about mine. http://www.irv2.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif

Have the 2013 Ambassador, and really enjoy it. There were some issues when first bought. All fixed at Alliance in Florida. Have no problem with the MaxxForce engine. (had leaking water clamp = puff of smoke out back. fix by replacing clamp, no more problem). Averaged 9MPG LI to Sugarloaf Key. Like not having to add DEF for exhaust. My wife loves the floor plan (bath and half). Had issue with the water filter in really freezing temps. Unit has a 12 volt heater in the water bay on drivers side. works great in 10/20 degrees temps. Filter is on passenger side of bay, no heat!! I had put a small 110 heater there, but something happened (really??) and filter froze and cracked. Outside temp was near 0 in MD. Walmart had identical filter and was easy to replace, just a pain tho. This will be a item to correct when back on Long Island.

I looked at a new Ambassador with the bunks, it had a large slide and the whole time it was coming out there were large creaks and cracks, sounded like wood snapping, you ever hear of something similar?

When Harley Davidson owned them they were a class operation, after Monaco bought them , not so much and the down hill began.

Where did the Imperial fall into the lineup?
Many years ago, I had heard that Holiday Rambler was a great company until Harley Davidson bought it. Then it slid into the tank. Finally Monaco bought it and pulled it back up into success.
At least, that's the way I heard it.
I'm prepared and willing to be wrong.

Imperial was right under the Navigator. I had a 97 Imperial 40WDS and it was a great coach.

You are correct. I put Admiral below the Nav...should have been Imperial...sorry.

Absolutely love our 36pft Ambassador. It has proven to be the perfect size for us and for our son and his wife and baby. Stan was able to remove a sofa cushion and secure the car seat base to the sofa frame so that the baby is in his safety seat correctly. Couldn't have been a better choice for us!
