Holiday Rambler Engine A/C
I have a 2005 Holiday Rambler Vacationer, and it seems the engine (not coach) A/C is making a funny noice when just the ACC is on and not started. It seems to work OK once the vehicle is running but if I just leave the ACC portion on for a some reason even only for a minute it makes a sqealing noise. Any ideas would be appreciated?
thanks so much
Mike

Are you talking about the "dash air"?
If the engine is not started, (aka: not running), the dash A/C can't make any noise, but the 12VDC "blower motor" can.
When my "dash heat/air conditioner blower motor" was squealing I found an exact replacement at NAPA.

I see, so order the part at autozone or Napa. Is the part on the blower under the passengers dash, expensive?

My blower motor, with the squirrel cage, was about $30 4-5 years ago.
I had no part number, so I removed mine and took it to my local NAPA store.
They had an exact replacement in stock.

Yes, on the front firewall/bulkhead
On my coach it was only a matter of disconnecting 2 wires and removing 6-8 screws.
Mine used a NAPA BK6551777: NAPA AUTO PARTS, (of course yours may be different)?
BTW, because the "squirrel cage blower wheel" on the new one was not as wide as the original I removed it and reused the old squirrel cage.

Same procedure on my 97 Endeavor last year. When I took the old blower out, it had a sticker with the P/N on it. About $35 at Advance Auto. In stock ... if I remember correctly it was a common Chevy item.
