Holiday Rambler Starter Easy Fix

Took my 2006 HR Admiral to the shop today for a slow turning starter.
My mechanic disabled the engine so it would not start. Then he cranked the starter over and over a few times. First couple times it was real slow, but then surprise the starter started working just fine. He said apparently it was a case of non use and also the fact that the EFI engine starts up so fast that the starter gets very little use. So it needed to be turned over a few times to clean the junk off the contacts.
Just thought maybe others may want to try this before buying a new starter with slow turning symptoms. Mine spins that big 490 like a top now and NO repair bill was very nice.
Sweet to have an Honest Mechanic.

You probably had a sticking brush. There are 2 sets and if one hangs up, you get a slow spin.

What's to say that won't happen again ?
