Holiday rambler windshield shade

Good morning - new class a owner, just picked up new mh. Is anyone familiar with the windshield shade? Could not electrically get the shade down to cover the full window? Any help/thoughts appreciated

Mk1putt,

Since you are new, I will ask this....was the engine on at the time? On ours, the shades will not make it down to eye level if I try to lower them while I still have the engine on. It makes sense....it caught me by surprise a few times (wanted to keep the dash A/C long as possible).

Now, that out of the way...has the shade ever gone down all of the way? I don't have a HR, so am not familiar with the shade system. Do you know the shade manufacturer? Is it MCD? You might want to contact the manufacturer to ask them to help you trouble shoot the issue. It could be the motor, a sensor (what I mentioned above), the switch, a fuse...lots of reasons why this may occur. Give us some more info and someone here might be able to assist you.

I see that this is your first post. Welcome to the forum.

Like your screen name....I wish that all of my putts were "1 putts". Heck, I would really be pleased if most of them were.

Thank you, I think the engine may indeed have been on. And yes, the shade only comes down to eye level. Heading out tonight so I'll check again. Otherwise I will reach out to manufacturer

Screen name is more wishful thinking - but thank you

Thank you

Glad that I could assist. I continue to learn about our coach and we've been in it since August of 2015.

Travel safely!

The electric shades can be programmed by the user. There should be a users guide in with all the manuals. If not, you should be able to download a copy.
