Your electric element could be bad.

from WA State!
Yep, check the element, and be sure it's getting power. Also, those elements burn out in seconds if turned on and not covered with water.

If you replaced the element and turned it on before filling the water heater, it probably burnt out. Thats how they fail.

It would be helpful if you would provide details of the water heater. Mine is a 10 gallon heater and has overtemp protection switch and a small on/off switch to protect a winterized heater from being switched on before being unwinterized.
I have had to repair both of these items.
Have a nice day - Darrel

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!
My guess would be that you burned out the new element! Keep her between the ditches!
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

There is ususally an over-temp breaker on the AC temp sensor. very small black push to reset button.

Is it a heater element made for your heater (120v), or a generic one for a house tank (240v). If so, it'll take a longggg time to warm up since it has more resistance than a 120v element.
