How do I indentify a Aqua Heat system?

I'll be looking at 95 to 98 upper level coaches but would have no clue if it had this system. Never been in the above coaches.

Is there a operation panel saying "Aqua Heat", different types of vents, ID decal on inside of coach. ect.

Do all older Monacos, Beavers, HR, Safari, ect. have Aqua Heat?

A seller on craigslist ( over the phone) didn't know what kind of heat system he had in his Monaco. Don't know if he was slow as I or was trying to hide something.

Thanks a million in advance.

Fred from Wenatchee, Wa.

The Aqua Hot system only came standard on the top of the line models back in 1990's and early 2000's. For Monaco it came standard in the Signature, Navigator and the Executive and on the Beaver Marquis and a lot of Patriots but could be ordered as an option in some others. A lot depended on the dealer if he wanted to order them with the Aqua Hot System because it increased the price of the MH and the dealer just wanted to sell it and make his money. All Aqua Hot equipped MHs have an extra small exhaust pipe coming out on the driver's side normally just forward of the rear wheel. These are about 1.5" in diameter and there used to be a decal warning that they where HOT. Inside the basement is a large stainless steel box about 2 feet wide and 3ft long and 2ft high which is the actual unit. If you open up the basement storage doors there is no mistaking it when you see it. Inside the MH you will have small heat registers on the floor all around the coach but it is sometimes hard to tell thse from regular propane furnace outlets for newbies. There will be a small control panel with a switch for the diesel burner and a switch for the electric element.

Back in 95-98, coaches could have been heated by a Webasto heater. No big box, just one of these Webasto Thermo 90 S Coolant Heater (Hydronic Heater) - Boat Heater, Marine Heater or one of its cousins.

Here is a lot of information about Aqua-Hot (Formally Hydro-Hot) systems over the years.

RV Hydronic Heating Repair - Hydronic Heater Model Information

Aqua-Hot Heating Systems Inc.

That should help familurize and understand them. Be advised that earlier year models didn't have the system monitor panels so you need to have some idea what you are looking at.

The Oasis hydronic system is very similar to Aqua-Hot/Hydro-Hot. I have it on my Mandalay and love it.
