Not sure we are helping much here. Does the radio work when the ignition is on, or on acc ? I don't understand the dash radio working but not the speakers. Is it the factory radio or was it installed aftermarket or by you ? Shore power really has nothing to do with the dash radio except to keep whichever battery it is running on charged. Are the speakers used for the TV or something else, or just the radio ? I think we would all like to help, but not sure what the question is.

I think the switch idea is a good one. I will check the wiring and pick up the house battery circuit. Thanks

On my Damon, with the ignition on (ON or Accessory) the dash radio is connected to the speakers

With it off, the HOUSE radio/home theater is connected.

Some RV's have a manual switch

Some dash radios have a "line out" which you can run up to the home theater but no manufacturer I know of has the brains to do that (I do, it's really very easy)

Hope this helps
Home is where I park it!

Yes, my Damon works like yours, but since the in dash radio is an aftermarket capable of XM and this has the XM subscription I want to power this from shore power along with the surround sound speakers. The house radio is not capable of XM and I would need another subscription for an add on to the house radio. I don't want to leave the key in acc position as this draws from engine battery and also powers other items.

wa8yxm, how would I do a line out for the Alpine radio? I do have the schematic for it.
