How do you clean the bugs off of your rig?

Without harming the finish?

I used bathroom fiberglass tub cleaner after a six week trip last summer and that works very well.

Star-Brite Bug-Off. Spray it on and let it sit for a minute, and as they say, 'just wipe the bugs away'!

Bug Off

We just returned from Florida and the local news did a segment on removing Love Bugs from a vehicle. Apparently, squished love bugs will remove the paint from a vehicle, so, it's news worthy. The new's anchor suggested wiping them off with a damp/wet dryer sheet. It's supposed to work, but. I've not tested it.

Yes, a wet laundry drier sheet works well to remove bugs, have been using them for years.

Lucas Slick Mist Detailer.
Spray it on and wipe off with wet rag then a dry one to polish.
Good on glass also.

Steel wool on the windshield will do a great job and good coat of Gel-Gloss on the front cap to start

I've been using Rejex on the front of my MH, the windshield, and the mirrors for years. It works better than Rain-X and lasts longer.

I would NEVER use Dawn. It is extremely effective at getting grease off dishes but also removes all the wax. I've been using it for years to prep automobile surfaces for painting. You need to get rid of all the waxes, oils, etc for an effective paint job. If you use Dawn for bug removal just remember you are also taking off all the wax and loosing its protection.
