After taking my first long trip in a 37 1/2 ft DP (in windy weather) I realized that 5-6 hours of daily driving can be exhausting. I am curious; on the average how long and how far do other DP RVr's drive on a daily basis?

I prefer about 350 miles or about 7 hours. In bad weather, I would cut back to even less. I have gone as much as 11 hours and about 750 miles, but would not recommend it unless you had little choice.

Nothing over 350 miles per day with frequent stops for me and the dog. Usually takes me about 6+ hours then I'm ready to see Capt. Morgan. What's the rush?

250- 300 per day. Leaves plenty of time to set up and for happy hour

. I have done 880 a couple times not fun at all. 250 seems to be the best for us!

I like 5/6 hours on the road & pulling off to park for the night early and relaxing.

250 miles for travel to places I've passed through before and then less than 200 miles for new areas. The drive is part of the vacation. Sometimes 100 or 150 miles is plenty between stops. A few trips require often taken require a long day of driving. 380 miles to Sacramento with no real reason to stop in between and 281 miles to Las Vegas, again no reason to stop, but they are long tiring drives.

I drive 5-7 hrs then stop for a few days then do it again, I did drive once beacuse I had to for 13 hrs had a gas leak at home and it wasn't natural gas but gas in the car file line broke in the garage

Max 200 miles, sometimes 60-70 miles, we don't start early, however we stop early.

My buddy and Me flew up to Iowa and took delivery of my new Coach. We left Forest City last Sat morning and drove the 1700 miles back to Phoenix in 3 1/2 days. Driving 500 to 600 miles a day, 10 to 12 hours per day. We drove 55 to 65 to break in the engine which had 21 miles on it at the start. Very long days, the coach ran flawlessly.
We were beat buy the time we got home and I am still recouping. Will not do that again. Les

I like to keep it to 6 hours a day, with a nap break after 3 to 4 hours. I did do 3000 miles in 8 days last Fall by myself, but would try not to repeat it. On a couple of those days I started out at sunrise, stopped after 3 hours for an hour nap, then repeated. It allowed me to get in 500 miles in a day without being dangerously tired.

In windy weather, I like to stop after about 2 hours.

Drive as little as 50 mile to as much as 780 miles per day but like to keep days to less than 400.

I've driven up to about 700 miles in a day. Wasn't fun but I was in a hurry after having an "encounter" with a couple "gentlemen" in a rest area in Wyoming. Drove to the nearest Wal*Mart (about another 100 miles) and parked in the truck/RV spaces they had marked off. By then I had stopped shaking!

We are normally "tourists" so we try to drive 150 to 250 miles and then explore the area. I am tired after 5 or 6 hours of driving (about 200 miles with rest stops) but now that my wife is doing some RV driving we have gone as far as 400 miles in a day.
