I drive 10 miles. I live in western NC. The winters are mild compared to Cleveland OH and SLC UT. We still get below freezing.
Its in climate controlled winter storage for the winter. Getting time off to travel is difficult and the drive to someplace warmer is quite a drive. If we do get to go it will be ready to go. Too big of a PITA to store it in the summer since we go every other week and getting it back into storage before they close is a real challenge.
The real reason its in climate controlled winter storage is random leaks that can happen during the torrential downpour or snow covered roof during the winter. Also we can work on it inside the building. Working on it on our property especially the slides is impossible. Not enough room, not level and miserable when its cold. There is something going wrong with our LR slide and trying to figure it out will be more pleasant when not freezing to death.
Im also tiling the kitchen, since its 15ft of wall its going to take a while. With it inside and above freezing I don't have to worry about the weather affecting the project.
