How fast do you drive your GAS rv ?

When my grandfather turned 80, he insisted that family members drive FAST everywhere when he was a passenger!! He would say that he wasn't going to be here much longer, so he didn't want to waste time!

He taught me to make fun of slow driving 60-something retired folks when I was a fresh 16 YO driver, taking him on his errands.

BTW, he lived to be 98.

1999 allrgro with chevy. depends on road and if i am in a hurry. i hve had it going 75

I have noticed that most every motor coach on the road drives faster than I do. In fact I've had the same one pass me more than once in the same afternoon.

Yes our 1997 35u Bounder 460 +banks, has great power and oh it can get up and run if you let it. But the miles pass by fast enough at just a crack over 60

I typically drive 65-75 mph, but much slower in windy conditions.

60-65 max for me. I've found that using the cruise takes 1 mpg or about 15% of fuel economy with all the shifting it does with cruise on.

I like 63 mph. I get to keep a bunch of followers for a couple miles at this speed. They always tell me I'm number "1" when they can finally pass me. Just kidding, but at this speed, my V-10 can drive about 7.3 miles on a gallon of gas. I find that my fuel mileage decreases to about 6.8 mpg when I drive about 67 mph. On single lane roads, I try to drive at the speed limit to minimize my followers, but I do not drive over 70 mph.

Right on JeffK....instead of a 5-star tune, I use a 5-toe trained right foot.
