How long does it take you to dump your tanks?

Came back from a week long trip today and hit a local truck stop that has a dump station to dump the black and grey tanks. Got there and only one MH was there and he was already dumping so I figured a few minutes and he'll be done. Well 30 minutes later he was still there, gave up and headed to another place to dump. It takes me maybe 10 minutes tops to dump and flush both my tanks and I would never take 30 minutes especially if I knew someone else was waiting. So I'm wondering if I'm just the fastest dump in the west or did this guy think the $5 dump fee gave him camping rights also

Last time my wife told me it took 5 min to dump both full 60 gallon tanks. I used the gravity drain rather than the Sanicon, didn't flush the tanks nor add chemicals as there were others waiting.

3>5 mins. and if anyone's waiting in line , it would be a straight dump no flushing.
My usual dump and flush before storage is a city run site , and when I go there , I aim for a Wednesday afternoon, when there's one around.

If there's a line, or pressed for time I'm in the < 5 minute, dump, no flush, no Sanicon group.

My rig has a Sanicon system installed. Dumping my tanks (40 gallon black, 60 gallon gray) takes 10-15 minutes. There's no question that the Sanicon isn't as fast as a pure gravity system. I don't dawdle at the dump - and while it may frustrate somebody behind me, it is what it is.

Sounds like you got behind a inconsiderate person. Saw the same thing at the boat dock last week. Guy put his boat in and then spent 30 min. farting around. The very next day the same guy towed another boat in and the two of them had the dock tied up for 30 min. or more.
I can dump in 6 min.

We've not timed our dump but it is less than 10 minutes. I saw something interesting somewhere (maybe Facebook) though. There were what were called permanent sewer hoses already attached at the dump. All you did was hook up to your tank and open the valve. No wrestling your sewer hose in and out! That sounds like a great idea but I can see where some problems could develop.

How long does it take you to dump your tanks?

I'm the one in front of you.... Sorry, but I do my thing my way, you do yours your way... Life is too short to get overly concerned about the small things...

Straight dump (allready hooked up without a rinse) 2-3 minutes

With rinse add a bunch of time for rinsing as I need to pump in a bunch of water to do that. More with power rinse (long story told elsewhere)

And add a couple minutes for hooking up and unhooking/storage of hoses.

I can see 30 minutes.. But not much more.. and if there is a line up I'll shortcut.

If I'm full, it takes no less than 15 minutes. I have a macerator that increases the flow time compared to straight gravity dump. I try not to tie up the station if someone is waiting behind me.

But like stated above, it is what it is and each of us has their way of insuring their holding tanks are clean. If I'm just traveling and need some room, it's a fast dump and I'm gone.

If I'm finishing up a trip and on the way home and storage, It's going to take whatever time it takes to clean my system out, (normally no more than 30 minutes)

We can't expect to have it our way every time we're in a hurry.

So to rephrase, you have no time to be considerate of others - who may not be on your schedule? What a guy....

I have found that most people are considerate of others, like I try to be. I've also found that no matter what you do, you will never be able to please everyone. I am just saying that not everyone is being inconsiderate, just because they don't do things the way you want them to...

And that's the bottom line
