Usually at refuel at about 1/2 tank. If rig has been sitting awhile I may go lower to put in more fresh fuel...
Most was 71 gallons (90 gallon tank) found that the anxiety level does go up when the "low fuel" light comes on. Also much less picky about fuel price or how easy to access the pump....

When my 150 gal tank shows 1/2 it takes about 85 gal to fill it up. That is my normal point to refill unless it is getting parked for a couple weeks or more than I refill regardless of level. If I know of a great place to buy fuel I will stretch it to about 1/3 tank which is about 100 gal. Pretty much, anytime I get below 3/4 tank and Gasbuddy is telling me of a good price that is handy on the route...I will fill up.

Usually at about 1/2 tank. That's about 50 to 60 gallons. I am avg about 7.4 mpg.

Listed as 80 gal. tank and I once put 82 gals. in, trying to get out of Fl. to the cheaper stuff.

We have an 80 Gallon tank in our Outlaw. On a trip, we will try to never drop below 1/4 tank. If we are close to home, we run it low so we can use our grocery fuel points to save $1 per gallon on 35 Gallons. We try to have 2 months of fuel points that can save us $70 on the fill-up ( requires two transactions). This way we start our next trip full and happy. We love King Scoopers fuel points!

Ours is listed as a 80 gallon also. Once put in 87 gallons. We were right on empty. Hope it holds that much, and the station didn't have a defective pump. Now I tell people that it must be a 90 gallon tank. Who knows, haven't let it get that low since.

If you ever let it run out you will make sure not to have that happen again. Diesel engines do not like being run out of fuel. I have done it once on my tractor it was a lot of fun getting it running again.

Gyp!! I want a 80gallon tank in my Outlaw too...actually if it didn't impact the CCC, I would add another tank under the garage floor

We typically do once a month nearby weekend trips with 1-2 longer trips a year. We fill up after each nearby weekend trip, as the coach is our escape in case of emergency (e.g., wild fires). On longer trips usually go down to about 1/4 tank before filling. 75 gallon tank.

My fuel tank holds 100 gals. I get about 6.5 to 7 MPG. I plan all my trips ahead of time using DeLorme and Street Atlas. I try to plan fuel stops about every 500 miles + or - and that usually puts the tank at 1/4.

I try to fill up my 75 gallon tank at 1/2 tank. I've heard too many stories about people running their tanks low and their in tank fuel pump overheats and fails.

My dad always said that it was as easy to keep the top half full as it was to keep the bottom half full. He usually said that after I used one of his cars and returned it empty. The top half may cost a little more if you allow the bottom half to empty out.

That said, on our recent trip to California from Washington State we filled up twice. The first time was at 7 Feathers Casino on I-5 in Oregon. The second time was south of Sacramento and I had 1/3 tank left.

I plan the fuel stops on long trips. Usually don't go past 450 mi on trip meter before filling. 67 gal is the most I have bought on the 100 gal tank and the gage went to a red light/ empty needle. That leaves 33 gal @ 7mpg or 231 mi range left. So the gage is well on the safe side.

We have a 30 and a 70 gal I try not to go under 1/2 on either tank.Sticker shock... We get between 8-9 MPG depending on the wind and if I have the toad behind us. Just put in 130 bucks @ Costco $2.84 a gal both tanks are now just under full. Propane 11 gals have been using it off and on for the last month and 1/2.

if someone will refill my tanks I will start driving south, to see how far I can go on 100 gal's
