Bad Bolt, not sure if your coach is anything like mine but I purchased the Silverleaf VMSpc and hooked it up to a laptop. I have much more info available to me going down the road, but it also lists the total miles and total gallons of fuel used since new. I found it was within 200 miles of what the odometer reads for 10 years of travel.

Total newbie here

Would mileage be a consideration for other aspects of the coach? Transmission, suspension, brakes, general shaking around of things?

I bought this coach in 07 after having two other Foretravels with well over 100k on them. Sold them to go bigger then to go to two slides. This 01 had 56k when I bought it and is sitting at 169k now. I am sure it will break 200k soon.

That is awesome John. The Foretravel U320's of the early-mid 2000's are fantastic coaches.

Going on 4 years with our 2001 Diplomat , put about 15,000 miles on with routine maintenance that I do, Would like to have 500 HP but we get along fine with the 330 HP with good MPG .

We've bought ours new and have put 10000 miles on it over two years and I'm still hoping to get to the point where I'm happy with it and no longer having premature failures and other issues.

That sucks. Sorry to hear you are not happy with yours still after two years.

We have had ours for just over 8 years now and I am still almost giddy every time I turn the key and pull away from the driveway.

I'm with you. I would love to have the ISM or especially an ISX in our little 40 footer, but for the most part our ISL does great, even towing 12k+ pounds of trailer around behind us.

I have read a bit about this unit and priced them. It is on my list, for sure. Just need to work it into the budget.

A couple of my sisters and me just had to lay down $22k for a handicap van for my mom. So, there are priorities, here.

Still, hope to have one in a year or so...

Hi, I'm kind of late to this thread. I bought my Allegro RED in Sept of 2012 and have put about 14,000 on it so far, with another 2,500 to come over the next 2 weeks

I have had a few problems with the coach; bad inverter, broken turbo vane controller housing, broken windshield, failed Horton clutch, but nothing too serious IMO. Though it is more of an entry level DP, my DW and I really love it and don't see a whole lot of reason not to keep it for many more years. It has the space & storage that we want, plus I have been slowly upgrading it; residential refrigerator, induction stovetop, new camera system, new DVD/Sat/Bluetooth head unit and a new dish to be installed when I can get to it.

We have gone to the Hershey RV show for the last few years and really don't see anything that would suit us any better. Yeah there's some really nice, fast, fancy, high-tech units out there, but none that I am ready to sell my soul for, at least not yet anyway.

Good for you. Glad to see you're happy with your coach.

You're right, things wear out and break and better to fix them immediately vs. waiting. They just get worse, they don't fix themselves. It bothers me when I see things on vehicles, coaches, bikes or whatever that people have just ignored hoping they go away.

Mike.
