New to the RV World

How many people out there have NO slides
It is just the two of us and this coach is really set up for just two people (the coach does fold out for a second bed).
I find it more than adequate for the two of us without slides.
It seems to me people have a lot of problems with slides as I am constantly seeing posts on stuck slides or slides that are not working right ot with leaks.

I guess that's a personal preference,but I wouldn't have a coach without slides. This is our second coach with slides and so far we have had no leaks or problems with them.

We just purchased an MH without any slides and like you there is just the two of us. We looked at some with slides but decided on our first one we would try one without.

The first motorhome my wife and I had did not have any slides. It was a 36' gasser built on a 460 powered Ford gasser F53 chassis. It worked for us while we had it but it was tighter than we really wanted. Especially if someone was to come inside. We purchased a newer coach with a bedroom slide and living/dinning room slide and now we would not have it any other way. But to be fair I have not been in a diesel pusher coach with no slides to see if it may have more room than a gasser chassis coach. floor plan would also likely have a lot to do with the interior feel.

We have a 1999 29 ft. Safari Trek. No slides, just my wife and dog and no problems with personal space or storage. This is our second Trek and, if we get a newer one, it too will be without slides. We have friends with slides, which they like, but we don't have slide envy.
Slides, 45 ft DP's, residential refrigerators, giant towering 5th wheel trailers, etc. are really good if that's what one wants. There is no single RV product or feature that fits everyone's needs.

Our 87 does not have slides and that is one of the reasons we purchased it, less moving less problems. Slides are nice IF you need the room, but we don't and are happy to be close when passing each other

We bought our no-slide coach in 2008. We have completely reconditioned it inside and out. We think it's the greatest place to live and travel in!
Would we have a coach with slides? No doubt someday we will. But we are very happy with this coach, and are not looking for a coach with slides.

Our 99 Bounder has no slides. It is a little cramped at times but as mentioned the problems with slides leaking, not working properly sounds like more things to work on.

We bought a 94 Coachmen without slides in 2005 and were quite happy with it. Wife wanted more room and a bigger kitchen area, however, and we bought a 99 2-slide Airstream in 2014. Both are gassers on Ford Chassis. I think you will find no slides fine, at least for quite a while, maybe permanently. It is a personal choice for your family. No slides is certainly the most economical way to get started in RVing.

Friends have an older gasser with no slides and it is very hard for them to have company over due to lack of space.

Sounds like the DW wants a new/newer unit with slides. If that is the case you are sunk. LOL
