How much did you pay to tint your windows ??

I'm wanting to tint all my side windows and also get the front done with a UV blocking film. Just wondering what some of you guys paid to have yours done?

How many windows did you have done?

heres my coach

I tinted mine myself. WHAT A DIFFERENCE..

I bought a roll of 20%. (probably enough to do 5 MHs) . I took my time and did all the windows in 4-5 hours.

Be carfull, some people report that tinting the side windows causes a terrible reflection and difficult to see out. Also tinting the entire front windshield is Illegal in many states.
You dont mention if your goal is to cut down on the sun when driving or when parked from the heat ?
Their are other ways to block the suns rays and heat with solar shades on the outside, add aluminum insulation purchased from Lowes for the inside etc

I will be tinting my side windows myself soon, and plan to use the 35% film!

Front windshield will not be tinted dark but have a film that cuts down the heat coming thru WHILE driving. So full window shades will not work. I already have those.
A coworker had his truck window done with it and it's amazing how well it stays cool inside.
I'll have to ask him what it's called.

I actually thought about doing them myself. I remember tinting my first car when I was 16 myself and it came out great. Being flat windows will make it much easier to do yourself. Just gotta have a steady hand to cut along the edges.

Look into 3M Crystaline. The best I could find that was legal on the windshield. Yes, it is expensive. I would definitely recommend it for the windshield. If you want to save some bucks, use cheaper stuff on the sides.

My brother in law has a coach, that had cheap stuff installed professionally a few years ago. Standing in the front , looking at it from a slight angle, it has a zillion little bubbles in it now. And I won't testify as to if it is legal or not.

I have another friend, that but real dark filming the top 1/3 of his windshield. Looks funny, I,m sure it helps, but to each his own.

Be careful with double paned windows, they use a different type tint than standard auto tint.

What type tint do you use on double pane windows? I had my last MH tinted by a car guy and it pulled inward and buckled up.

I had mine done five years ago in Florida and it looks like I had about the same number/size windows you have. I did not have the windshield done but I had them put the darkest tint they could on all the other windows. Best thing I ever did for keeping the RV cool. We could see out but you could not see in. Never had a problem with any bubbles or peeling. Cost was $500.

Here are some pics of my MH of the before and after tinting that I had done. You definitely can see the difference in the shading. I had the driver's and passenger side windows done only. Also had another strip put on the upper portion those windows. Not sure I can really see a noticeable difference in the heat, I'm sure there is but with that big front windshield I absorb a lot of sunshine. My cost was just over $250.00 and it only took the man about an hour. I'd probably look into doing it myself if I had to do it again. I had these done two years ago.
