How much markup is there really??

We are looking at a 2011 or 12 Fleetwood Bounder Classic 34B or the Thor Hurricane 34T. With two kids the bunks are a necessity. We have seen it vary in price as much as $25,000. There really is no difference in the two different years. I do not really want to look at a used unit.

The dealer wholesale price was probably about 60% of the MSRP. If you can buy an identically equipped version of the same year & model coach from another dealer for $25k less, what are you waiting for?

Or are you saying 2011 versus 2012 for otherwise identical coaches? In that case the difference is depreciation. When the 2012's come out, the value of a 2011 depreciates, even if still brand new. As soon as you take possession, the 2011 becomes a one year old used rig, with a value to match.

Thanks. We do like the Bounder and just want to have both barrels loaded when we go to the dealership.

I believe motor homes are marked up approx 30 percent for the dealers but the dealer could be splitting the markup with you. Of course you wont know unless you do your homework and see what others are selling for.

You should be getting 25-30% off MSRP. if not, go elsewhere!
