Mostly liability, but really both. Technically personal injury includes way more than just getting hurt. Liability coverage is pretty much the same from state to state, depending on which negligence standard is used.

We're really getting this thread off topic, and to take this insurance discussion beyond this level, everyone needs to discuss their own situation with their own agent or insurance company.

Just assume that when the lawsuit papers come around, if your name isn't on the first line of the insurance declarations page, and you're not a resident relative of that name, then you've going to have to find your defense somewhere else.
