How to add a brake controller to my 1999 Safari Continental 4006

I have a 1999 safari 40 footer. This unit has the older smaller type round trailer plug in the rear. I have no idea about this type of plug. The motorhome has is set up for a 5000 lb max tow load. Will it be pre wired to accept a controller or will i have to start from scratch and run wiring?

any help appreciated.
